Hey Family!
How is everything been going? How was the trip to Florida? I totally forgot you were going until I received the post card! I bet you had lots of fun! Make sure you tell me all about it! I don't think I got your email last week. I am not sure what happened. It's been really weird with all of the stuff going on. I had to change my address because the old myldsmail wasn't working or some weird thing. But it is all good. And I don't have lance's current address with me. I have not gotten the Avon shampoo yet. I have just been using some cheap Suave from the Dollar store. It has been working pretty good not amazing though.
But this week has been so amazing! It has flown by! Just insane! CRAZY! We have been working so hard and just trying to do all we can. But the work has picked up and we have 2 Baptismal Dates for April 10! I am so excited! I just hope that everything will work out! They are Joe Matlack and Tori Allen! I think I told you a little about Joe last time! Well we have been meeting with him twice a week. And he has a testimony of the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. But he is having a difficult time accepting that the Sabbath is on Sunday. He thinks it should be on Saturday. And we have tried to connect the dots for him that if the Book of Mormon is true then it's all true. But he doesn't quite get it. And we can't argue with him because he is very knowledgeable and we are not supposed to. But he also smokes and so we are going to teach him about the Word of Wisdom on Wednesday and so we will just have to see how that goes. But keep him in your prayers because I know that he can be baptized and he defiantly wants to know the truth.
Tori is just amazing! She is Golden! We were looking up potential investigators one day and her mom was on the list and so we went over to her house and knocked on the door. She answered and then let us in. We were actually very surprised. But I guess she was home with a migraine from school. She is 15 years old. But we got talking to her and found out that her friend had died last year. So we talked to her about death and what happens after. It was very spiritual. We asked her to pray to her Heavenly Father. And then told her we would come back if we could get permission to teach her. Well her mom said that it was fine and so we went back and taught her the part of the first lesson about prophets and Christ’s earthly ministry. Then we left her with a Book of Mormon and told her to read the Introduction, but to pay attention to the last 2 paragraphs. So she did and if you read the last 2 paragraphs it talks about asking in pray if these things are right. So she did. And when we asked her how she felt when she did it she said that it felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders and she felt happy. We explained to her that that feeling was the Holy Ghost testifying the truth of the Book of Mormon. We also shared with her the Restoration and after the first vision she said she got chills. We then ended up inviting her to be baptized. She said YES! Now we just need to talk to her parents and get permission. Her dad is a little anti but she doesn't live with him and so we really only need her mom's permission. But her dad also believes we still practice polygamy and lots of other interesting things. So we are going over there tonight to talk to her about it. So keep her in your prays!
Also I get to see a generally authority tomorrow! We are going to Columbus to have a meeting with Elder Evans. He is in the Quorum of the Seventy! But it's going to be him with just our Zone! That's only like 18 people. Crazy! I am so excited! So I will get to write you about how that went next Wednesday. I guess he is doing a mission tour! But it's pretty exciting!
But my time is pretty much up! So I better get going but I hope all is going well at home! I miss everyone and I am very excited for you guys! I love you so much!
Love, Sister Whitney
